রাজশাহী জেলার গোদাগাড়ী উপজেলার মাটিকাটা ইউনিয়নের মাটিকাটা উচ্চ বিদ্যালয়টি ১৯৬২ ইং সালে প্রতিষ্ঠিত হয়। এটি একটি মাটিকাটা ইউনিয়নের ঐতিহ্যবাহী শিক্ষাপ্রতিষ্ঠান।দলমত নির্বিশেষে এলাকার শিক্ষানুরাগী, জনপ্রতিনিধি, সমাজসেবক, দানশীল, ব্যবসায়ী, ছাত্র-ছাত্রী ও শিক্ষকদের যৌথ প্রচেষ্টায় ও আর্থিক সহায়তায় এলাকার শিক্ষানুরাগী ও গন্যমান্য ব্যক্তিদের অক্লান্ত পরিশ্রমে বিদ্যালয়টি প্রতিষ্ঠিত হয়। পিছিয়ে পড়া সমাজের ও অহেলিত জনগোষ্ঠির ভাগ্যের পরিবর্তনের জন্য এবং উন্নত মানসম্মত পাঠদানের জন্য শিক্ষক, অভিভাবক, ম্যানেজিং কমিটি, পিটিএ কমিটির সদস্যগণ আপ্রাণ চেষ্টা করে যাচ্ছেন। সঠিক পরিচর্যা ও বিকাশের মাধ্যমে শিক্ষার্থীর অনন্ত সম্ভাবনা পরিপূর্ণতা লাভ করছে। শিক্ষার্থীদের লেখাপড়ার পাশাপাশি খেলাধূলায় উৎসাহিত করার মাধ্যমে বিকশিত হচ্ছে শিক্ষার্থীদের মানসিকতা এবং স্বচ্ছন্দবোধ। সাংস্কৃতিক অনুষ্ঠান, বিতর্ক প্রতিযোগিতা ও দেওয়াল পত্রিকা প্রকাশের মাধ্যমে শিক্ষার্থীদের মধ্যে স্বদেশপ্রেম ও সৃজনশীলতা সৃষ্টি হচ্ছে।
এছাড়া বিদ্যালয়ে কারিগরী শিক্ষা ব্যবস্থা গ্রহনের মাধ্যমে অত্র এলাকার শিক্ষার্থীরা দ্রুত কর্মক্ষেত্রে প্রবেশের মাধ্যমে নিজেকে প্রতিষ্ঠিত করছে। আশা করি বিদ্যালয়ের বিভিন্ন পরীক্ষার ভাল ফলাফল অর্জনের পাশাপাশি সহ-শিক্ষাক্রমিক কার্যাবলীর মাধ্যমে প্রতিষ্ঠানের মর্যাদাকে সমুন্নত রাখবে এই প্রত্যাশা কামনা করি।
